Staff

The Academy employs professional, suitable, qualified, and experienced educators that deliver high-quality care, learning and fun to children.

All staff have gone through an interview and recruitment process with management where garda vetting, police clearance and verified references are obtained. 

The staff are dedicated, passionate and enthusiastic. We pride ourselves in our relationships with families, children and our wider community. We are committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment where all children feel supported and welcomed.

At the Care and Education Academy, we see staff as much more than carers, we see them as educators who are of utmost importance to us. They are our most valuable resource, and we give priority to ensuring all educators can reach their full potential. To maintain our high standards of care the Care and Education Academy ensures that all educators are regularly offered in and out house training. This training also ensures staff are supported in the implementation of our curriculums.

Staff are required to complete certificates in First Aid, Health & Safety, Manual Handling and Children First as well as obtaining DCEDIY recognised childcare qualifications. 

Communication is a key aspect we look for in our staff. This allow for an open and trusting relationship to be built with children, parents, and colleagues. Our staff ethos is one of fun, teamwork, passion, and enthusiasm.

We implement policies, procedures and practices and employ a level of staff to comply with staff-child ratios defined in the pre-school regulations. Staff appraisals are held annually. There is a designated Child protection officer and deputy in each facility.

There is a designated First Aider and deputy in each facility.
