School Age Care

Our afterschool service caters for children from 4 – 12 years. The adult child ratio is 1:12.

Children attend the afterschool service from 1.30pm each day. Several buses from the locality drop off at the Care and Education Academy. Please note buses and drop offs are arranged separately by parents. 

Our service includes a supervised period for homework each day as well as free play, outdoor activities, dress up, cooking, arts and crafts, table-top play, and planned group activities. Dinner is served daily by our onsite chef. Our Afterschool service operates over a 44-week calendar and parents can avail of full day childcare provision during school holidays and mid-term breaks.

Parents may also avail of The National Childcare Scheme, government funded subvention for children attending the Afterschool service.
